TARGET Cards <br /> TARGET is APTIM's new behavior-based safety observation program. The TARGET card is an opportunity <br /> to reinforce safe behaviors or initiate proactive change. Management has set the expectation at a <br /> minimum of one TARGET card per employee per week. This is based on the average 40-hr workweek. <br /> The goal is for to TARGET to remain relevant and reasonable. Participation is more important than <br /> contributing to a quota. Project managers and office leads are expected to proactively manage each <br /> location's TARGET program. The HSE team is available to provide support and guidance to ensure that <br /> the location's TARGET participation is meeting management's expectations. The TARGET card is an <br /> opportunity to reinforce safe behaviors or initiate proactive change, not a contribution to a quota. <br /> 2.2.5 Injury Management and Hospital Route Maps <br /> Injury Management/Incident Notification <br /> Observe the following injury management/incident notification procedures and practices: <br /> Injury Management <br /> Observe the following injury management procedures and practices: <br /> • Once a personal injury incident is discovered, the first action will be to ensure the injured party <br /> receives appropriate medical attention. <br /> • If it is safe to do so, the nearest workers will immediately assist a person who shows signs of <br /> medical distress or who is involved in an accident. <br /> • The work crew supervisor will be summoned. The work crew supervisor will immediately make <br /> contact with the PM or other designated individual to alert them of the medical emergency. The <br /> work crew supervisor will advise and perform the following "Care of the Employee": <br /> — Location of the victim at the work site <br /> — Nature of the emergency <br /> — Whether the victim is conscious <br /> — Specific conditions contributing to the injury, if known <br /> — Escort the injured person to the occupational clinic or hospital or arrange for <br /> ambulance <br /> o Contact CORE (877-347-7429) to inform them of the clinic or hospital the <br /> employee is going to be treated and to arrange for a drug and alcohol test <br /> 2-7 <br />
