Work Plan for Limited Site Investigation <br />Proposed Distribution Center Stockton, California <br />February 22, 2022 Terracon Project No. NA227001 <br />Responsive Resourceful Reliable 2 <br />REC/Site Concern Description <br />Kennedy Auto Co. <br />(4421 Clark Drive) <br />Kennedy Auto Parts, identified to the adjoining west and hydrogeologically up- <br />gradient relative to the Subject Property, represents a REC to the Subject <br />Property based on the reported scrap metal processing operations, distance and <br />hydrogeological up-gradient position of the facility relative to the site. <br />Septic Systems There may be up to four to five residential septic systems located on the site. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />2.1 Objectives <br />The objective of the proposed LSI is to assess the presence of chemicals commonly associated <br />with the identified RECs and/or site concerns at concentrations above laboratory reporting limits <br />in the on-site soil and groundwater. <br />2.2 Pre-Mobilization Activities <br />Terracon has a commitment to the safety of all its employees. As such, and in accordance with <br />our Incident and Injury Free® safety culture, Terracon will develop a safety plan to be used by our <br />personnel during field services. Prior to commencement of on-site activities, Terracon will hold a <br />meeting to review health and safety needs for this specific project. At this time, we anticipate <br />performing fieldwork in an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Level D work <br />uniform consisting of hard hats, safety glasses, protective gloves, and steel-toed boots. <br />Prior to the initiation of field activities, Terracon will perform the following activities: <br />Obtain soil boring permits from the San Joaquin County Department of <br />Environmental Health (SJCDEH); and, <br />Schedule a private utility locating service survey to locate potential utilities near the <br />proposed boring locations. <br />2.3 Work Plan <br />Terracon has provided this letter Work Plan to the SJCDEH detailing the methodologies described <br />below. Any SJCDEH comments to the letter Work Plan will be incorporated into a final plan. <br />2.4 Permitting <br />In conjunction with this Work Plan, Terracon has completed a SJCDEH Site Mitigation Well & <br />Boring Permit Application. See attached.
