3. Leachate <br /> All Leachate or Contact Water is collected by the active Waste Management <br /> Units (WMU) Leachate Collection System (LCS) and directed to the Leachate <br /> Collection Sump located in the WMU. Leachate is then pumped through an <br /> underground 6" High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE) and delivered to <br /> the Leachate Evaporation Pond U F) located North of the South Fork of <br /> Little John's Creek in the Southwest corner of the Forward Landfill. <br /> Stockpiling of soil waiting for analytical results will occur only in Subtitle D <br /> Class II WMU'S. <br /> Contact Water from the maintenance yard is collected at the sump located at <br /> the South-East comer of the maintenance yard which is pumped into <br /> Forward's Water Truck and disposed of in WMU F. Forward has obtained a <br /> permit from the City of Stockton WasteWater Treatment Plant to discharge <br /> excess Leachate at their facility. Forward will act upon this permit if <br /> insufficient holding capacity of WMU F is reached. A licensed transporter <br /> using tanker trucks will transport the Leachate. Deliveries will cease when <br /> WMU F again has sufficient capacity. A log is kept on site recording the <br /> volume of Leachate disposal at The City of Stockton WasteWater Treatment <br /> Facility. <br /> 4. D2001 <br /> July of 2001 a new subtitle D, Class 11 Disposal Unit was completed. <br /> 5. WMU B <br /> WMU B is now inactive. Intermediate cover has been applied. <br />
