3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work within this work plan for the existing Austin Road Landfill (ARL) includes
the abandonment and relocation of three existing monitoring probes, SGP-10B, SGP-14,
and SGP-13, located along the existing northern boundary of the waste footprint. These
probes are being abandoned to facilitate the relocation of the existing North Fork of Little
John's Creek located centrally in the Austin Road Landfill. The proposed new compliance
probes will be located north of the future creek easment as shown on Figure 6. In addition
to the work being preformed for the ARL, the existing Forward Sanitary Landfill (FSL)
proposes the installation of three new Title 27 compliance monitoring probes along the
western edge of the site property line. These probes are being installed to replace the now
destroyed GP-1, GP-2, and GP-3. Additionally, replacement of the remaining seven existing
probes located at the site's perimeter is also proposed under this work plan in order to
bring all existing probes at the FSL in compliance with Title 27 requirements. The locations
for the proposed new compliance probes are also shown on Figure 6.
The following site activities will be conducted as part of this work plan. These activities are
as follows:
• Permit all LFG monitoring probes.
• Drill LFG monitoring probe borings.
• Construct and install LFG monitoring probes.
• Backfill and restoration of surface.
• Survey new LFG monitoring.
• Prepare as-built Probe Location Map.
3-1
Multilevel LFG Monitoring Probe Installation Work Plan
L:\Allied\Forward Landfill\2001.132\Reports\Workplan\Sect-3rev3.doc:8/1/02
