Landfill's use of Alternate Daily Cover(ADC)on August 2, 2002. <br /> As a follow up to the CIWMB staff site visit,please contact the operator and provide written clarification <br /> of the following issues prior to December 31, 2002: <br /> • The lack of sufficient records of ADC usage per Title 27 Section 20690 (a)(5); <br /> • The large size of the active face on the day of the survey; <br /> • Long term availability of a sufficient amount of soil for use as cover; <br /> • C&D material used as wet weather decking being reported as ADC,and; <br /> • The lack of sufficient cover on the active face on the day of the survey. <br /> If in developing your response you will require additional information from the operators you may wish <br /> to utilize Title 27,21600(a)(6)(A))which indicates that operators are required to provide a plot plan <br /> identifying cover material, quantities required from on-site sources, excavation sequence of the site, <br /> alternative daily cover if applicable and stockpile locations if stockpiled for a significant amount of time <br /> as well as to identify or describe off-site sources or types of cover materials needed for a five-year <br /> duration if not included in the plot plan. Additionally operators are required to describe the equipment <br /> and methods used to spread and compact wastes, as well as state a cover frequencies of ADC proposed <br /> for use in lieu of soil as daily cover. Please provide information regarding compliance with CCR Title 27 <br /> sections 20680 and 20685. <br /> Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
