Lopez Property - 2 - 11 May 2022

CPT-3. By 15 July 2022, please submit a work plan presenting a scope of work
for installation of a deep screened well to the northeast of the source area.
3. Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in all three intermediate zone grab
groundwater samples. AGI detected 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) at 8.0
micrograms per liter (µg/L) in CPT-3, 0.27 µg/L in CPT-4, and 2.5 µg/L in CPT-5.
CPT-3 is located northeast of the source area. Based on these results, 1,2-DCA
appears to be adequately delineated to the east but has not been adequately
delineated to the northeast. Additional delineation in the intermediate zone is
needed to the northeast of CPT-3. In the work plan due 15 July 2022, please
include a scope of work for installation of an intermediate screened well to the
northeast of the source area.
4. Staff does not concur with AGI’s recommendation for no further action. AGI
performed the last reported groundwater monitoring event on 9 September 2020.
Staff requests that you please resume semi-annual groundwater monitoring
during the first and third quarters, and please provide the next monitoring report
by 30 November 2022.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at (916) 464-4792 or by email
at vera.fischer@waterboards.ca.gov.
Sincerely,
Vera Fischer, P.G.
Engineering Geologist

Galvin Kauffman, P.G. 9542
Senior Engineering Geologist
cc: Mr. Daniel Villanueva, AdvancedGeo, Inc., Stockton (by email)
Ms. Nereida P.
