A work plan is required by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br />(SJCEHD) to be submitted as part of the application for a soil boring permit. The sections below <br />provide a brief Site description, the proposed scope of work, and the project schedule. The site <br />location is shown on Figure 1. <br />Site Description <br />The Site is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of West Washington Street and <br />Commerce Street in a commercial area of Stockton, California. The Site is approximately 0.49 <br />acres and consists of a single property parcel, Assessor’s Parcel No. (APN) 137-30-019. Currently, <br />the property is undeveloped, with no structures. Portions of the Site are improved with paved <br />driveways and parking areas. <br />Scope of Work <br />AEI was requested to perform a subsurface investigation, including the collection of groundwater <br />and soil gas samples at three (3) locations, to evaluate if the Site is impacted by volatile organic <br />compounds (VOCs). The investigation was requested as part of the due diligence process of a <br />lender. <br />Health and Safety, Permitting, and Utility Clearance <br />A site-specific health and safety plan will be prepared, reviewed by onsite personnel, and kept <br />onsite for the duration of the f ieldwork. Drilling permits will be obtained from San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) for this investigation. The public underground utility <br />locating service Underground Service Alert (USA) North 811 will be notified to identify public <br />utilities in the work area. As an added precaution, a private utility locate survey will be conducted <br />by an independent utility locating company to identify underground utilities on the property.
