Chapter 3.1 Community Development Element, Goal LU-7, page 3.1-61 of the <br /> San Joaquin County General Plan 2035 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> Agriculture Industrial Development <br /> LU-7.18 Freeway/Highway Access <br /> The County shall require that Agriculture/Industrial designated parcels have freeway or highway <br /> access by meeting one or more of the following_ <br /> • Within a one-half(1/2) mile radius from the centerline of an interchange along Interstate <br /> 5, Interstate 205, Interstate 580, or State Route 99; <br /> • With frontageg State Route 4, State Route 12, or State Route 88; or <br /> • Near Interstate 580 or State Route 132 with a designated truck haul route. <br /> LU-7.19 Parcel Size Exceptions <br /> The County shall prevent the premature conversion of viable agricultural land by limiting the <br /> Agriculture/Industrial development to parcels 20 acres or less in size, except that parcels larger <br /> than 20 acres may be considered if it can be proven that the site is no longer viable for <br /> agricultural purposes and has historically remained unfarmed. Soil classification and access to <br /> irrigation water may be considered when determining viability. <br /> LU-7.20 Prime Farmland <br /> The County shall not apply the Agriculture/Industrial designation to properties that are under a <br /> Williamson Act or Farmland Security Zone contract, or to agricultural properties categorized as <br /> Prime Farmland, Farmland of Statewide Importance, or Unique Farmland by the California <br /> Department of Conservation's Farmland Mapping and Monitoring Program. <br /> LU-7.21 Primary or Secondary Delta Zone <br /> The County shall not allow parcels located within the Primary Zone of the Delta to be designated <br /> as Agriculture/Industrial, but may consider parcels located within the Secondary Zone of the <br /> Delta on a case-by-case basis. Parcel-specific characteristics will be considered in regards to the <br /> Delta Protection Commission's Land Use Resource Management Plan and the Delta Stewardship <br /> Council's Delta Plan. <br /> -4- <br />
