Sampling and Analysis Plan for
Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
South Pointe Property: 701, 705, 833, 855 West Weber Avenue
Stockton, California
Quality Controls
May 17, 2021
a pre- and post-shipment vacuum check of each canister serves as an evaluation of sample integrity
during shipping.
10.1.1.4 Temperature Blanks
Each cooler containing soil samples to be analyzed for OCPs will contain a 40-milliliter volatile organic
analysis (VOA)vial marked "temperature blank."This blank will be used by the sample custodian to check
the temperature of samples upon receipt.
10.1.2 Assessment of Field Variability (Field Duplicate or Co-located
Samples)
Duplicate soil samples will be collected at sample locations TP-9, -14, -16, and -18, based on elevated
concentrations of OCPs historically observed at these locations. Two additional locations will be selected
in the field based on low to moderate historical concentrations of OCPs.
Duplicate passive soil vapor samples will be collected at a rate of ten percent. Because soil vapor
conditions beneath the site are undefined, duplicate passive soil vapor modules will be deployed at
random locations selected during installation. Active soil vapor samples will also be collected at a rate of
ten percent. Locations will be identified following review of passive soil vapor data and will be selected to
be representative of a range of VOC mass conditions (such as areas with relatively high mass
accumulations, areas with moderate mass accumulations, and areas of low mass accumulations). Active
soil vapor samples will be collected in parallel with the primary sample using a single-use sampling 'tee'
provided by the laboratory.
Duplicate samples will be preserved, packaged, and sealed in the same manner as other samples of the
same matrix. A separate sample number and station number will be assigned to each duplicate, and it will
be submitted blind to the laboratory.
10.2 BACKGROUND SAMPLES
Background samples are not proposed. The areas surrounding the site were historically used for similar
purposes and may be similarly impacted by OCPs. Therefore, identifying a reliable location for a
background sample is not considered feasible.
10.3 FIELD SCREENING, CONFIRMATION SAMPLES, AND SPLIT
SAMPLES
Field screening is not proposed, therefore confirmation sampling is not applicable. Collection of split
samples is not proposed.
M
Project No.: 185704833.5.3&5.4 10.2
