The EHD met with the operator to discuss the handling of treated medical waste to minimize <br />its exposure to the workers and drivers. <br />At time of inspection, treated medical waste is dumped at the active face, then pushed to its final resting place. <br />While being pushed, some medical waste, including needles and syringes, spills on the active face, where <br />employees and drivers walk on. <br />- The operator is to dump treated medical waste as close to its final resting place as possible to minimize <br />exposing employees and drivers to needles and syringes. <br />x <br />20680 -Daily Cover <br />Comments: Daylighting is observing in the area north-east of the current active face. <br />-Ensure all waste is covered at end of each operating day. <br />-Provided at least 6" of compacted earthen material for cover. <br />inspection;feport <br />Comments �:; <br />1. Cover is made of tarps and soil. <br />2. The falconer is not on site. According to the operator, falconer's last day was April 15, 2015. <br />3. The concentration of explosive gas in GP -8R, 9R, and 106R is 0% by volume. <br />4. Wheel washer with jet sprays has been installed and operational. <br />5. Operator is constructing winter pad with left -over mixed concrete. It is a white pad that can be dusty at time. According <br />to operator, his crew is to water it until it is harden. <br />6. All records are up to date. <br />
