25 HSC 118280—Biohazard bags shall be containerized and stored pursuant <br /> to this section <br /> Biohazardous bag not placed in a rigid container that is leak resistant, tightly <br /> lid, clean, in good repair and appropriately labeled. Container shall be labeled <br /> with the words `Biohazardous Waste" or BIOHAZARD" on the lid and on the <br /> sides so as to be visible from any lateral direction. One BioHazard container <br /> was found with a label missing. HSC 118280 (c) Corrected on site during the <br /> survey by the Safety Officer Item completed <br /> 31 HSC 117967—On-site annual training <br /> Annual training records were not available for review. Large quantity <br /> generators that treat medical waste on site using steam sterilization, <br /> incineration, microwave technology or other department approved treatment <br /> technology to treat medical waste shall train the operators of the equipment in <br /> its use, proper protective equipment to wear, if necessary, and how to clean up <br /> spills to ensure that the equipment is being operated in a safe effective manner. <br /> San-I-Pak provided an In-Service of their equipment to both Housekeeping and <br /> Plant Operations staff on December 6th, 2016. This training will be scheduled <br /> annually. (Report attached) Item completed <br /> We trust this is satisfactory.
