Other terms for <br />Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) are Biohazard Waste, <br />Infectious Medical Waste and Medical Waste. <br />Point of use disposal <br />Placing regulated waste into disposal containers as it is <br />being generated by work processes. <br />Segregate Regulated <br />Identifying, sorting and separating regulated waste from <br />Waste <br />other waste types (e.g., domestic trash, hazardous wastes, <br />etc.) during point of use disposal. <br />Package Regulated <br />Marking and sealing regulated waste containers as per <br />Waste <br />Federal, state or local requirements when the container is <br />full or no longer needed at the point of use. <br />Store Regulated Waste <br />Placing properly segregated and packaged waste into a <br />secure area to await a pickup by a regulated waste disposal <br />vendor. <br />Prepare Regulated <br />Counting, weighing or otherwise determining the amount of <br />Waste Containers for <br />regulated waste to be shipped for disposal, completing <br />Pickup <br />waste tracking forms or manifests, arranging for pickup by <br />the regulated waste disposal vendor and/or assisting the <br />vendor with the pickup. <br />Regulated Waste <br />The shipping form that is completed by the waste generator <br />Tracking Form or <br />to track the waste shipment until it has been destroyed. <br />Manifest <br />Tracked Waste <br />Any biohazard waste that involves blood products <br />NonTracked Waste <br />General biohazard waste that does not involve blood <br />products. <br />LIN Number <br />Four -digit numbers that identify hazardous substances, and <br />articles (such as explosives, flammable liquids, toxic <br />substances, etc.) in the framework of international transport. <br />A.
