Manufacturing management are responsible for ensuring staff <br />comply with System procedures for tracked waste which is not <br />covered by this program. <br />1. Review state/local requirements and modify this procedure to <br />include those requirements. <br />2. Complete and submit any and all paperwork regarding permitting <br />and licensing for regulated medical waste for facilities and vehicles <br />as appropriate. <br />3. Develop and submit regulated medical waste reports as required by <br />law. <br />4. Function as inspection point of contact for regulated medical waste <br />inspections. Notify regional Quality department of any and all <br />inspections. <br />1. These are examples of materials that would be discarded as regulated <br />medical waste: <br />• Visibly bloody tubing <br />• Visibly contaminated PPE <br />• Saturated gauze <br />• Saturated bandages <br />• Saturated items <br />• Closed disposable sharps containers <br />• Apheresis extraction tubing <br />2.
