At the West facility, <br />Biohazardous bags were observed on the ground stored in the designated storage <br />accumulation area. During the inspection the Safety Security Manager placed the <br />Red Biohazardous bags in a Biohazardous waste container. To containerize <br />biohazard bags place them for storage, handling, or transport in a rigid container. The <br />container inust be labeled with the word "Biohazardous Waste" and the international <br />symbol or the word "biohazardous Waste" on the lid and sides so as to be visible <br />from any lateral direction. <br />® Education with the Environmental Services staff regarding the appropriate <br />placement and disposal and labeling methods of red bag waste has been <br />conducted on Nov. 6, 2013 for the 800 S. Lower Sacramento Road location. <br />The training records are attached. <br />o HSC 118280 (d)(1)(A) — Medical Waste must have pick-ups performed at least once <br />every 7 days. A period of 10 days elapsed between pick-ups at the Lodi Health West <br />facility. A pick-up was performed on 12-18-12 and the next pick-up was on 12-28- <br />12. The requirement is that biohazard waste rmast be picked -up at least once every 7 <br />days. <br />■ The waste was not picked -up by Sterieycle on 12-21-13.
