All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free Chlorine level was measured at 0.6 ppm. Maintain free Chlorine level between 2 ppm and 10 ppm. <br />Correct prior to opening pool to residents. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level - MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level was measured at <7.0. Maintain the pH level of the pool between 7.2 and 7.8. Correct prior <br />to opening pool to residents. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION.: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: A life ring with an attached rope throw with sufficient length to span the width of the pool was not found <br />on site. Provide a life ring within 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope.
