Hazelton Ave.
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Padilla:
v
NOV 1 6
A
As per your request, following our 5/31/89 inspection, enclosed is a copy of the
updated policy and procedure on Infectious Waste Management. Please note that it has
been approved by Administration, the Medical Staff and the Board of Directors.
In reference to item 462: "Keep the inside main storage area (infectious waste) locked,"
I have concluded after careful review and research that Title 22, Section 66840E refers
to enclosures or containers outside of the facility. The final sentence of Section
6684E is: "Warning signs shall be readily legible during daylight hours from a distance
of at least 25 feet."
Should you wish to discuss this issue further, please contact me at 333-0211.
I will look forward to our next inspection in 1990.
Sincerely,
Eileen M.
