This <br /> training teaches associates the cautions, warnings, and labeling systems that warn of a hazardous <br /> material to ensure a safe workplace. It also outlines the roles and responsibilities for each position in <br /> the Distribution Center. These policies and procedures encourage injury prevention, by enforcing the <br /> use of personal protective equipment, equipment safety, merchandise safety, hazardous materials, <br /> and emergency preparedness. The emergency preparedness portion of the instruction outlines <br /> reporting/notification protocol, hazardous waste spill minimization measures, evacuation procedures, <br /> and fire protection systems related to accident response, fire safety, severe weather, and bomb <br /> threats.
