The
City of Stockton Public Works went back to the spill area this afternoon and placed more absorbent on the release to
attempt to further absorb any residual diesel. The absorbent was no longer picking up diesel from the impacted area.
The waste generated has been taken back to the City of Stockton Public Works Corp Yard for future disposal.
The release occurred on the corner of Monte Diablo Ave and Wilshire Ave in front of Kelly-Moore Paints. Notification is
being provided to Stockton Unified School District Superintendent due to the release being 0.5 miles away from Victory
Elementary School.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you and have a great rest of the week!
All the Best,
Carol Presto
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Email: cpresto@sigov.org I Phone: (209) 616-3061
httbs://www.sigov.orgidepartmentienvhealth/
Environmental Health Department's public lobby is open with some modifications.
