SANJOAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />1:81K4-.2 --C OU N T Y <br />c <br />Greatness graves eters <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility AMAZON Date: 05/17/2022 <br />Address: 188 INTERNATIONAL PKWY, TRACY <br />Owner/Operator: PROLOGIS LP Telephone: <br />Program Element: 2546- RELEASE/SPILL RESPONSE (EXCLUDING JOINT TEAM) Complaint #: COSB9060T <br />Responsible Party Contact: JAMES LARSON <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />Approximately 7 gallons of battery acid spilled onto concrete and inside a trailer. 1 gallon went into a storm drain. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />On 5/17/2022, a battery fell over in a trailer causing approximately 7 gallons of battery acid to be released. The battery acid <br />leaked out of the back of the trailer, onto concrete, and into a storm drain. The facility retained Patriot Environmental Services <br />to clean the release. The acid was neutralized and absorbent was placed over the liquid. The trailer, pavement, and storm <br />drains were then pressure washed. Cleanup was completed by Patriot. 1500 pounds of liquid and 700 pounds of solids were <br />generated from the cleanup. The waste was disposed of as hazardous waste on manifest 020409884JJK. <br />Please submit final disposal records to the EHD when they are received. <br />Report emailed to Safety Specialist Brian Goto at <gotobria@amazon.com>. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
