Officer, and the Analytical Director. <br />Samplers maintain a log of sarnpling date, time, location, semp'e <br />ty.e, and any unusual details with retard to each sampling <br />'equest. Sample Containers are marked Lo inciCate sem®ling daft, <br />time, and location. A chain -of -custody record begins at the time <br />tech sample .s transferred to Multi -Tech personnel (Field <br />Services cr .e^rle R*ceivinc). he same prctocois pertaining to <br />cnain-cf-custcey apply when a client's chain-cf-custody is used. <br />6.2 Sampla Preservation <br />To prevent or retard the degradation and/or modification of <br />chemicals in samples during transit and storage, the samples are <br />preserved and stored as outlined in the methods being used for <br />the analysis of the sample. Efforts to preserve the integrity of <br />the samples are initiated at the time of sampling and continue <br />until the analyses are performed. Those samples containing <br />organic compounds are preserved immediately by refrigeration and <br />storage in glass bottles with teflon -lined caps. These bottles <br />and caps are cleaned as outlined by standard operating procedures <br />based on the procedures outl i ned._i n. the__Cal_i f orni a __De.pa.rtm_ent_ of <br />Health Services AS 1803 publication. <br />
