n
Sect . :n No '
Revision Pdo.
Gate.
Fa 9e of
11.0 LABORATORY ANALYTICAL PERSONNEL CERTIFICATION PROCEDURES
11.1 General
Multi -tech recognizes that the confidence in any analytical
rr -
ttcr i s 1 irni ted if personnel have not demonstrated the ski 1'.=
needea to ptrf orrn the ana; i s. Therefore, l eboratorV ana l yti c.2
ptrscrrti are trained in cuality control techniques a n a ase
required to qualify to run the analysis.
Certi=icaticn procedures ensure that our laboratory analytics'
personnel understand methods of analysis and are competent
performing analytical analyses under the protocols in use d
Mu'.t.-.e c± .
11.2 Certification Procedures
The certification procedures for laboratory analytical personnel
include evaluations of precision and accuracy for each analysis
performed. When more than one person qualifies to do the sarre
test, replicate data will be compiled to validate not only
personnel but also the method of analysis used. Personnt'
demonstrate their proficiency in conducting chemical analyses by
analy`ing spiked standard samples prior to conducting analyses of
natural samples. They will be prepared by spiking dei onized water
with the analyte of interest at:
0.0 times the desired detection limit.
-0.5 times the desired detection limit.
1.0 times the desired detection limit.
2.0 times the desired detection limit.
5.0 times the desired detection limit.
10.0 times the desired detection limit.
Detection limits are calculated using the method in Section 13.0.
- -- - The accuracy is the slope of the best linear regression line of
found versus target concentration. The best linear fit regression
line must have a correlation coefficient of 0.996 for the
calculation of the detection limit and accuracy. A minimum of one
sample at each concentration level is analyzed each day for three
separate days. The precision of the method is the standard error
of the best fit linear regression line of the found versus tercet
