Ail work is entered directly into the notebook in
ncel 1b a i ^,k v.', t i eci C,*, a V,t j I S: a Ced ent ri es. the Q" .
, 6 1
rrethcr, _C sample data, and results a - e all recorded with earn
enalYS; s, including ail calculations ano relevant observations.
Results a -e reported in terms of concert ration in the criainal
rr,etrix. sack of indications of the cresence of any specific
compound are reported as "not detected" and are accompanied by
the appropriate detection limit. Detection limits higher than the
certifies detection limit (as in the case of a sample with hi ch
backgrourd levels) are noted. Analysts initial and reference
their results on the sample worksheets. Corrections to the sample
worksheets are initialled and dated; a single line is drawn
through the incorrect information and the correct information is
entered.
All data are reviewed by four different levels of laboratcâ–ºy
personnel. The review process incIuces the Laboratory Analyst
assigned to the section which produced the data, the Section
Supervisor, the QA Officer, and the Analytical Director. If tie
data satisfy analytical and quality recuirements, then the data
is released to Report Production. If the data do not satisfy
analytical and quality requirements, then corrective action will
be taken. Re -analysis of a sample can be initiated at any of the
four personnel review levels. After the Report Production process
is completed, the data returns to the Analytical Director who
then approves and signs the final results for release to the
client.
