E S i or) N c , <br />2.0 Laborstor.y Receipt and Custody Procedures <br />2.. r,eceitt <br />-.i.i Sample Receiving persorrel accept custody of the <br />sample when it arrives at Mu'ti - Tech with field <br />Services personnel, by courie^, or is dreoced off <br />:y the client. <br />2 . 1 . 2 Sample Receiving personnel verify that the <br />information on the sample label matches that cin <br />the chain -of -custody record(s`. <br />2.1.3 Fertinent informatior, as to shipment, pickup, and <br />courier will also be cnec,ed on the chain -;,f - <br />custody record(s). <br />2.1.4 Sample Receivinq will then enter 'he acpropri:•� <br />data into the laboratory sarrzle track--,^ sy5-err. <br />Sample Receiving will assign a unique .TC/Nulti- <br />Tech number to each sample. <br />2...5 r'ield Services personnel will then store the <br />sample(s) in the appropriate secure area. <br />2.2 Laboratory Personnel <br />2.2.1 Laboratory personnel are responsible for the care <br />and custody of samples from the time they are <br />received un -til the sample is exhausted or <br />returned to field services. Refrigerator logs <br />track the sample as data is proauced. <br />2.2.2 A11 data sheets and laboratory records are <br />retained as part of the permanent documentation. <br />
