CALIFORNIA WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD
SOLID WASTE FACILITY
STATE INVESTIGATION REPORT
Facility Name: FORWARD,INC. LANDFILL Facility ID No. : 39-AA-0015
Name of Inspector: Paul Forsberg Inspection Date: 8/24/88
Signature:
LEG0
C = Compliance V = Violation
I = Indeterminate A = Area of Concern
CCR SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT
17616 Report of The current RDSI was issued in May, A
Disposal Site 1978. A revised (December 1987)
Information initial draft RDSI is available
for agency review. The December,
1987 initial draft RDSI was used to
evaluate this site during this in-
spection.
It states, on pages 23 and 24,
that food processing wastes must
be handled separately from all
other wastes received ( i .e. ,
disposed of on a clay pad, disked
and dried) . I observed that there
was a red, tomato puree type semi-
liquid waste present throughout the
working face in sufficient quantities
to attract a large numbers of flies.
Incoming loads of food processing
waste must be disposed of in a
manner consistent with the RDSI .
17626 Design This standard applies to new facil- C
Responsibility ities only. This is not a new fa-
cility.
SeKioft manager
