Suction lysimeters <br /> monitored with the use of %_ e-x tract water from- soil that is not <br /> a--re nonito-rin- devices that These devices will <br /> fully water-saturated but not completely dry. it liners in order <br /> be placed directly under the hazardous waste un <br /> to detect a leak, should it occur, before the contamination can <br /> reach groundwater. <br /> Regulatory Basis <br /> The Forward, Inc. closure Plan for the hazardous waste unitermanentland <br /> supplementary documents would allow Forward, Inc. to py <br /> close the hazardous waste unit in accordance with all of the <br /> requirements set forth in: the Resource conservation and <br /> Recovery Act (RCRA) Of 1976, as amended by the Hazardous and <br /> Solid Waste Act (HSWA) Of 1984 ; the California Health and Safety <br /> Code; Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations; and any <br /> stringent conditions required by DHS and EPA in the <br /> other more s h and the <br /> final closure Plan to insure protection of public health <br /> environment. <br />
