VESER I S <br />Contingency Plan <br />Section 7 — Effective Date Supersedes. Page <br />Evacuation of the Branch 9/20/2021 New 7-1 <br />IMPLEMENTATION: <br />The facility evacuation plan is to be implemented when it becomes necessary to evacuate <br />the facility due to an emergency which threatens human health and safety. The signal for <br />evacuation should be given by the Emergency Coordinator or his/her alternate. <br />Evacuation should always be carried-out so that employees are not exposed to the <br />emergency situation. Evacuation may be necessary to prevent personal injury because of <br />explosions, fires, large spills, toxic gas releases, severe weather, or bomb threats. <br />Whenever there is an imminent or actual emergency situation within the facility requiring <br />evacuation of the premises, the Emergency Coordinator or his/her alternate will <br />immediately: <br />1. Notify all building occupants by sounding the branch alarm system. This could be <br />by voice, by telephone, or by sounding an alarm. The Emergency Coordinator <br />should ensure that reference tools such as the Contingency Plan, Corporate <br />Directory and visitor/contractor logs are removed for off-site use. <br />Assess the nature of the emergency and consider contacting outside <br />emergency services agencies. <br />Personnel operating electrical equipment at the time of the alarm will turn off and unplug <br />the machine if possible. Vehicle and Lift truck operators will clear their machines from all <br />aisles and exits if time permits. If possible, mobile equipment such as trucks may also be <br />moved. All contractors shall assemble in the assigned Veseris evacuation congregating <br />areas. <br />EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAMS RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Assembly Point Leader(s) <br />The Assembly Point Leader(s) should be the last to exit and if safe to do so, turn off <br />electricity at the main switch for the building they are in and close doors and windows <br />before they exit. <br />All personnel with no assigned duties will evacuate by the nearest marked exit and <br />proceed to the Assembly Point via the safest route, reporting there to the
