VESERIS <br />Contingency Plan <br />Section 8 — Effective Date Supersedes Page <br />Emergency Equipment 9/20/2021 New 8- 1 <br />To assist with emergency response activities Veseris facilities will be equipped <br />with Emergency Response Kits (A, B, C) and/or with Incidental Release Pallets. In <br />addition, Veseris delivery vehicles will carry spill control materials and equipment. <br />I. EQUIPMENT LISTS <br /> <br />1. Certain equipment is to be stationed at fixed locations <br />throughout the Branch: <br />Fire Extinguishers <br />First Aid Kits <br />Branches handling cyanide compounds and/or cyanide-based pesticides <br />must have on-hand a cyanide poisoning antidote kit. Contact <br />Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to order kits. <br />Branches handling hydrofluoric acid and products containing hydrofluoric <br />acid are required to have on site an emergency kit containing a 2.5% <br />calcium gluconate gel, rubber gloves and Safety Data Sheets for <br />hydrofluoric acid. Contact your Regional Operations Manager for <br />assistance in obtaining the calcium gluconate gel. <br /> <br />2. Incidental Release Pallets will contain at a minimum: <br />Shovel, non-sparking <br />Broom <br />Recovery Drums <br />Absorbent/Diking Materials <br />Neutralizing Agents <br /> <br />3. Emergency Response Kits A, B, and C <br />Tools and equipment used during emergencies are kept in a secure <br />location in a sealed metal box marked Emergency Response Kits A, B, <br />and C. The Emergency Response Kits are kept sealed and are to be used <br />only for emergencies. After use, the boxes are inventoried, cleaned and <br />supplies replaced as needed. The boxes are resealed after inventory and <br />resupply. <br />FIR Kit A - For all warehouse or packaged product locations <br />E/R Kit B - For locations having bulk tank truck operations E/R <br />Kit C - For compressed gas stocking locations
