Fever blisters may occur on the lips following lip procedures in
individuals prone to this. In order to help prevent this, you should obtain a prescription for Zovirax and take
as prescribed by your doctor. L-lysine is an amino acid that may also be taken to help avoid this breakout.
Remember, they do not guarantee you will not break out,but they certainly help to prevent it.
Scar Camouflage
• It is important to understand that once an exact match is made for scar camouflage, a suntan or sunburn in
that area will once again cause a difference to appear between the camouflaged area and the skin
surrounding it. The camouflaged area will not tan along with the rest of the skin. It will remain the color
that it was camouflaged. The tanned area around it will be darker. In order to avoid this, the camouflaged
area as well as the skin surrounding it should be covered with sun block every day because even the daily
exposure to the sun may cause slight changes.
Instructions for all procedures:
• Ice packs may be applied for one 15-minute interval per hour for the next 12 hours (12 sessions of ice
packs), if needed. Do not ice up more than 15 minutes at a time. Place a clean tissue between the ice bag
and the skin.
• Do not take aspirin as this promotes bleeding. Tylenol may be taken for temporary pain relief.
• Do not do any heavy exercise or anything that will cause excessive sweating for 24 hours. -
• Your procedure will begin to oxidize (tum darker) for the next 3-4 days. Do not be alarmed. It may tum
darker by 40%. By about the 4t' day, it will flake off and then the color will return to what was implanted the
first five minutes of the procedure.
• Fading or loss of pigment may occur. Flaking off of pigment may occur. Do not be alarmed. This is
normal on some skin types while it may not occur on other skin types. A touchup may be required if
pigment does not take in certain areas.
• Please wait 30 days until your touchup for lip procedure; two weeks for brows and eyes. Changes such as
fading, darkening, or enrichment of color may occur during this time period.
• Use sun block to prevent fading.
• Avoid using any products with alpha hydroxy acids, topical Vitamin C, lash or brow tints or lash perms. Any
of these products, if used directly on your procedure could strip or bleach out most of the color.
Client's Printed Name:
Client's Signature: Date:
Signing here signifies that you have read the following and understand the instructions.
