All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #9 Ladders and Handrails OBSERVATIONS: Single handrail is unsecured. Secure handrail today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) #19 Depth Markers OBSERVATIONS: The perimeter of the pool is lacking the depth markers. As pool water depth is 6 Ft and shallower, universal " NO DIVING" symbol shall be installed on the deck directly adjacent to the depth markers. Provide depth markers and universal " NO DIVING" symbol in 4 weeks. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Depth markers shall be clearly marked in the following locations: at maximum depth, at minimum depth, at each end, on both sides at each end, at the slope break, and along the perimeter of the pool at distances not to exceed 25 feet. Depth markers shall be 4 inches high in a contrasting color and be marked in units of feet and inches. For pool water depths 6 feet and shallower, markers with universal "NO DIVING" symbol shall be installed on the deck directly adjacent to the depth markers. (CBC 3110B) #22 Skimmer Assembly OBSERVATIONS: One of the pool skimmers is lacking float valve. Provide float valve in 1 week. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance OBSERVATIONS: Difference between Influent and Effluent pressure is more than 10 PSI. Back wash the filter today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B) Pressure gauge located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
