All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The door to the outside from the pool was not latching. Provide fully self-closing and self-latching door. <br />Corrected on site, door will be locked. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br />Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool light was not working. Provide working pool light, if electricity to pool light will be disconnected <br />and only overhead lights will be used then provide letter from electrician verifying that power to the pool light has been <br />disconnected to EHD. Correct within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed mottling/staining on pool shell. Clean and maintain clean. <br />Observed some chipping on pool shell on steps. Provide smooth pool shell. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 3108B) <br /> #27 Pool Equipment Room <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed excessive leaf build up in pool equipment area. Clean area and maintain clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep ancillary facilities well maintained. (CCR 65535) All filters, valves, pumps, strainers <br />and equipment shall be readily accessible for repair and replacement.
