All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #16 Water Clarity MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: Maximum depth of pool is not visible from the deck. Maintain clear pool water while pool is in use. Correct today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) #37 Electrical Hazards MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: GFCI for pool light is not operational. Repair/replace GFCI today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter. (CBC 3160B) #7 Pool Deck OBSERVATIONS: Observed lounge chairs on west side of pool deck. Maintain an unobstructed 4 foot wide deck. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) #10 Disinfectant Residual OBSERVATIONS: Free residual chlorine level was 12 ppm. Maintain free residual chlorine levels between 2.0 ppm and 10 ppm. Reduce free residual chlorine today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
