4 Environmental Analysis <br /> 4.1 Aesthetics <br /> KOP 2 <br /> The Project would introduce neutral colors, geometric shapes, and horizontal and vertical lines <br /> into the landscape setting. The sound wall is a neutral, earth-tone color. The Project would be <br /> visible from this location by a casual observer; see Figure 4.1-4. The regular geometric forms and <br /> horizontal and vertical lines associated with the Project features would result in a visual contrast <br /> with the irregular, organic forms of the existing landform and vegetation. The earth-tone color of <br /> the sound wall would blend in with the landscape, especially during the drier months when the <br /> surrounding vegetation is predominantly tan. The structures in the vicinity also possess horizontal <br /> and vertical lines (residential building and garage, fencing, transmission towers and lines, and <br /> utility poles and lines). The residential building and garage in the foreground demand attention <br /> and are dominant in the landscape.
