Body Art Facility Infection Prevention And Control Plan Guideline <br />O. Aftercare Procedure: Describe the written recommendation and care information provided to the <br />client after a body art procedure. List the type of bandages or wrapping provided after a body arte�cu�a(nCl�f�I�far�c�c��stiri tANNONHWith clean hands, gently wash tattoo <br />lotion. Keep tattoo moisturized but do not over ap�nly ointment. Clogging skin may lead to poor healing or <br />infection. Avoid bodies of water (pool, lakes, beaches, or rivers.) Avoid sauna or the sun. Avoid going to the gym. All <br />should be avoided for about 2 weeks. Always handle tattoo with clean hands. If infection/allergic reaction occurs, <br />P. sl bMkkaWWAccidental Spill: Describe the clean-up and disinfection procedure taken when <br />there is an accidental spill of sharps (California Health and Safety Code 119309 (a)(b)(c)). <br />The procedure is put on pause until spill is cleaned. With gloves, sharps placed carefully in <br />sharps container by tongs or dust pan. Re -glove, flood the spill area with disinfectant and let <br />sit for the suggested time before wiping down. Wash hands, re -glove and continue <br />procedure. <br />Q. Trash Receptacles and Disposal of Contaminated Trash: List the type of trash receptacles used <br />and their location throughout the body art facility. Describe the procedure for the disposal of <br />contaminated items, such as gloves (California Health and Safety Code 119311 (a) and 119314 (d)). <br />Each procedure waste will go into a trash bag. This trash bag will go into the main closable*& s ; <br />-waste bin. <br />R. Negative/Failed Spore Test: Describe the procedure conducted when a monthly spore test has <br />failed.
