Active compost shall be maintained under aerobic conditions at a temperature of 55 <br /> degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit) or higher for a pathogen reduction period of <br /> 15 days or longer. <br /> B. LEA suggests operator should seek advice from a compost consultant. <br /> C. Operator shall calibrate thermometer at least once a year. <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. A lab analysis report was provided to the LEA on December 29, 2023 The lab results <br /> indicated the sample met Article 7 requirements. <br /> 2. Per operator, there are approximately 338,474 birds on site. <br /> 3. The composting machine was not running at the time of the inspection. <br /> 4. The temperature of the final compost was 110°F. <br /> 5. Temperature reading taken at the North House — North row at 170ft wa- and 124'F <br /> at the South row.
