Transfer/Processing Facility Inspection Report (53) <br /> Lovelace Transfer Station (39-AA-0008) <br /> 3/4/2024 <br /> c. Mixed waste should be stored inside the transfer station building. <br /> 2. A fire occurred on the tipping floor on February 22, 2024 and the LEA was notified <br /> on February 27, 2024. <br /> a. According to the TPR the operator will notify the LEA within 2L hours of all incidents <br /> requiring the implementation of emergency procedures in accordance with 14 CCR <br /> Section 17414. <br /> b. The fire was not documented in the Special Occurrences as described in the TPR. <br /> Records should be maintained for the LEA inspection. <br /> 14 CCR 17414 - Record Keeping Requirements <br /> 1. Inbound and outbound records are lacking. Records should be maintained for the <br /> LEA inspection. <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> A monthly inspection was conducted on March 4, 2024 and the following was noted: <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. Ensure that all records are maintained and up to date. <br /> 2. The food separator was not in use at the time of inspection. Per site supervisor, the food <br /> separator was in use Friday, March 1, 2024 and the finished product was transported to <br /> Forward Resource & Recovery Facility. <br /> 3. Per site supervisor, the food separator is in use Tuesdays and Fridays. <br /> 4. Dust levels were low at the time of inspection. Stall #13 Public side mister is in disrepair. <br /> Per site supervisor, Stall #15 mister is capped off and a part is on order for repair of <br /> misters. Projected date for completion of repair is March 20, 2024. <br /> 5. Metal flashing at the concrete wall and floor juncture at Public side stall 6 has been <br /> repaired. <br /> 6. On the commercial side (on the tipping floor), between stall 5 and 6 approximately <br /> 20'x30' concrete flooring area has been repaired. Concrete has been replaced and the <br /> flooring area has been in use since Monday, February 26, 2024. <br /> 7. Per site supervisor, the compactor is in disrepair and not in use at this time. <br /> 8. Waste pile was moderate at the time of inspection.
