Environmental Health Department <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />October 12, 2023 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 11011 E HWY 120 , MANTECA <br /> Facility Name: <br /> SOUTH SAN JOAQUIN IRR DIST <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br />OBSERVATION: Designated facility signed and dated copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests (UHWM) <br />were not found on-site. The missing manifests are: 021525688JJK, 024181789JJK, and 025752053JJK <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br />with section 66262.23(a) for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br />which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br />waste was accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest <br />to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) within 60 days if the destination facility signed <br />manifest copy is not received from the transporter or designated facility. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: I assisted the facility with obtaining a copy of the manifests through the Department of <br />Toxic Substances Control's tracking system. Records are now maintained on site. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />All violations were corrected at the time of the inspection. <br />Wastes generated by this facility: used oil, used antifreeze, oily solids, metal fines, parts washer rinseate, fuel/oil <br />filters, aerosols <br />The following minor violation was observed and corrected at the time of the inspection: no hazardous waste <br />label on a used oil drum <br />To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br />of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at the EHD hourly <br />rate ($162).
