0407700375), a plugged, dry hole, is located near the northwest corner of the
Site. According to CaIGEM, the well was drilled in 1964.
The following additional wells were identified within the search radius:
• Venada Drillco "Venada" M-1 (API 0407720246), a plugged, dry hole,
located approximately one-eighth of a mile north of the Site.
• H.W. Reynolds, Jr. Unit 32-1 (API 0407700414), a plugged, dry hole,
located approximately one-quarter mile south of the Site.
Drilling of oil and gas wells can lead to the discharge of drilling fluids, which may
contain hazardous materials. The wells discussed here were drilled and
abandoned under the oversight of the California Geologic Energy Management
Division (formerly the Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources).
7.5 National Pipeline Mapping System Database
Live Oak reviewed the National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) database on
August 11, 2023 for evidence of hazardous materials pipelines within one-quarter
mile of the Site. Two pipelines were identified within the search radius (Plate 9):
• A Pacific Gas & Electric Co. natural gas pipeline runs along West Ripon
Road approximately one-quarter mile north of the Site. The pipeline is
listed as active.
• A Pacific Gas & Electric Co. natural gas pipeline runs north-south
approximately one-quarter mile west of the Site. The pipeline is listed as
active.
Local pipelines which are not mapped by the NPMS may also be present in the
area.
LOGE 2327 11
