Secondary piping test : Soap test of all piping and penetrations (87 main product , 87 <br /> siphon/diesel product , 91 product) , and pressure test , in accordance with manufacturer <br /> specifications . <br /> e . Verification of secondary piping slope for all piping ( 87 main product , 87 siphon/diesel <br /> product) at 1 /8 inch per foot or greater , to a containment sump with an audible and <br /> visual alarm . Piping slope must be adequate at the start of this inspection , with all piping <br /> in its final position and ready to be backfilled without adjustments per the <br /> manufacturer' s installation instructions . <br /> f. Verification of all pipe setbacks , cross- overs , and burial depth , in accordance with <br /> manufacturer specifications , and verification of appropriate piping backfill . <br /> g . Integrity testing of all UDCs and transition sump in accordance with manufacturer <br /> specifications . <br /> h . Verification of the dispenser footprints contained by the UDCs . Any potential leaks from <br /> piping and fuel filters must drain directly into UDCs . <br /> i . Visual inspection of the piping within the dispensers <br /> j . Monitoring system functionality : Functionality of the monitoring system , including all <br /> sensors , must be verified to ensure monitoring has been restored to meet the <br /> requirements of CCR Title 23 and California Health & Safety Code ( HSC) Chapter 6 . 7 . <br /> If a cold start of the monitoring panel is performed , a copy of the alarm history shall be <br /> printed prior to performing the cold start , and made available at the time of EHD <br /> inspection . <br /> k . Leak detector test on the diesel tank , after first fuel delivery : Verify the device can <br /> detect a leak of 3 gallons per hour at 10 psi . Verify line volumes are appropriate for the <br /> make and model of the installed leak detectors . <br /> The facility cannot operate the 87 main, 87 siphon (new diesel), 91 system to the EHD <br /> inspection and approval. <br /> 4 . Secondary containment testing for all UDCs , transition sump and 87 siphon ( new diesel ) <br /> product piping is required six months after installation . Provide 48 hours notification to the EHD <br /> when this test is scheduled . <br /> 5 . Any individual installing underground storage systems or components must possess , or work <br /> under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at <br /> all times while work is being performed who possesses , all of the following : <br /> • One of several permissible valid , current contractor licenses issued by the Contractors <br /> State License Board ( CSLB) <br /> • A current UST Installation / Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code Council <br /> ( ICC) <br /> • A valid , current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component( s) being <br /> installed <br /> 6 . Any individual performing the work of a service technician must possess , or work under the direct <br /> and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at all times while <br /> work is being performed who possesses , all of the following : <br /> • One of several permissible valid , current contractor licenses issued by the CSLB <br /> • A current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the ICC <br /> • A valid , current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> tested , or the developer of the testing equipment or test method (s) being used <br /> 2of3 <br />
