FORWARD LANDFILL
RESOURCE & RECOVERY
WINTERIZATION PLAN 2008-2009

1. Grinding Pad & Sorting Pad
The pad has been graded such that the water flows to the northwest
corner. It is then collected in a ditch and delivered to the sediment
pond located at the west end of R & R area.

2. Compost Pad
Composting activities have ceased.

3. Transfer Station

Operation of the R & R transfer station continues. The transfer of
recyclables is done within the twelve thousand square feet (12,000sq)
building located on the eastern end and middle of R & R. Rainwater
from the roof of the building is directed from the down spouts to the
existing drain ditches and then to the sedimentation pond.

4. Sediment Pond
All non-contact water being directed to R&R's sedimentation pond is
sampled and analyzed in accordance with Forward's Storm Water
Pollution Prevention Plan and Storm Water Monitoring Plan. If the
pond is at capacity and the stormwater samples comply with the
discharge requirements, non-contact water is discharged to the south
fork of Little Johns Creek. A log is kept on site recording the volume of
non-contact water discharged to the creek from the pond.

5. Roads
