In case of a major release , start evacuation plan and contact <br /> specified spill containment agencies . Contain liquid to prevent further <br /> contamination of soil surface water or ground water. Clean up spills using <br /> appropriate techniques such as sorbent materials or sand dikes for <br /> containment and pumping . Where feasible and appropriate remove contaminated <br /> soil. Use protective clothing and respritory equipment where necessary. <br /> Follow prescribed " -procedures for reporting larger releases , dispose of <br /> contaminated materials in proper containers in manner consistent with <br /> applicable regulations and health authorities .
