The
CUF concurred with the EHD directive to assess groundwater using sparge wells in the source
area where monitoring coverage ceased with declining groundwater levels.
On 10 March 2011, a groundwater monitoring event that incorporated the sparge wells was
conducted. Although a report of the event has not been received, the laboratory data in'the EDF
on GeoTracker shows the wells to be non-detect for chemicals of concern. The EHD will be
reviewing the site in detail in the very near future and anticipates initiating the closure process.
If the EHD can be of further service, please: address questions or comments to Mike Infurna at
(209) 468-3454 or to Nuel Henderson at (209) 468-3436.
f
Sincer ly,
Michael J.
