<br /> Page 3 <br />2 General Requirements <br /> <br />2.1 Meetings <br /> <br />In order to facilitate construction, and to clearly define construction goals and activities, close <br />coordination between the Owner, Design Engineers, QA/QC Consultant, and Contractor is essential. <br />To meet this objective, pre-construction and progress meetings will be held. <br /> <br />2.1.1 Pre-Construction Meeting <br /> <br />Following bid award, a pre-construction meeting will be held at the site. The purpose of this <br />meeting, attended by the Owner, Contractor, Design Engineer, QA/QC Consultant, and others <br />designated by the Owner, will be to: <br /> <br />Review the construction drawings, specifications, CQA Manual, work area security, health <br />and safety procedures, and related issues. <br /> <br />Provide all parties with relevant project documents. <br /> <br />Review responsibilities and qualifications of each party. <br /> <br />Define lines of communication and authority. <br /> <br />Establish reporting and documenting procedures. <br /> <br />Review procedures for handling submittals. <br /> <br />Review testing equipment and procedures. <br /> <br />Review procedures for field directives and change orders. <br /> <br />Establish testing protocols and procedures for correcting and documenting construction or <br />non-conformance. <br /> <br /> Establish weekly meeting schedule. <br /> <br /> Conduct a site inspection to discuss work areas, stockpile areas, lay down areas, access <br />roads, haul roads, and related items. <br /> <br /> Review the project schedule and critical path items. <br /> <br /> Contractor's work plan.
