Transfer/Processing Facility Inspection Report (53)
Tracy Material Recovery & T.S. (39-AA-0024)
3/28/2023
Checks. The site is using the form from the Report of Facility Information (RFI) for this daily
check.
2. Observed a food waste processing unit inside the transfer station building at the time of
inspection. The food waste processing unit appears to be new and was not in use. Placing
this unit into operation will constitute a significant change to the design and operation of the
facility which requires a RFI amendment. Submit an RFI amendment application package to
the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) at least 180 days prior
to planning to put the food waste processing unit into operation. Do not place the unit into
operation until the RFI amendment package is approved by the SJCEHD. This item was an
Area of Concern on the February 2023 inspection report and has been changed to a report
comment since the facility five year permit review will happen in 2023 and the food waste
processing unit is not in operation.
3. Some litter was observed on-site around the facility. Continue to pick up litter periodically to
prevent it from traveling off-site.
4. Dust observed inside the transfer building was minimal.
5. Reviewed Log of Special Occurrences, Employee Training records, Load Check records,
Daily waste tonnage and vehicle records.
Attachments
Transfer Area photos
CalRecycle Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) Page 2 of 2
Date Generated: April 6, 2023 8:26 AM
