All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine level in the pool is 16.0 ppm. Take immediate action to reduce the free chlorine level to <br />the range of 2.0 to 10.0 ppm. Correct ASAP. This is a MAJOR VIOLATION/CLOSURE CONDITION. <br />The pool shall remain closed until the free chlorine range is achieved. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanufic acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool pH is greater than 8.0. Take immediate action to reduce the pH to the range of 7.2 to 7.8. This <br />is a MAJOR VIOLATION/CLOSURE CONDITION. <br />The pool shall remian closed until the pH range is achieved. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool and spa signage lacks the hours of operation. Write in the hours of operation on the pool and <br />spa signage. Correct today. <br />The pool and spa emergency signage lacks the name of the nearest medical facility and the name and address of the pool <br />location. Write in this missing information today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
