All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: The right hand rail is a bit wobbly at the spa. Tighten up railing by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 31118) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The combined chlorine level is 0.8pp . Reduce combined chlorine to 0.4ppm or below. Correct by 1 <br />week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br />#16 Water Clarity <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa water is cloudy. Take action to clear up the spa water today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: The skimmers lack weir doors. Install weir doors on both spa skimmers by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br />#36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br />OBSERVATIONS: The effluent gauge is lacking. Provide effluent gauge by 1 week. Repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
