All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The rope on the life ring ia tangled. Disentangle rope. Corrected during inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: There are some cracks on the deck that may create tripping hazards. Repair withing a week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: PH level is below 7. Sodium bicarbonate was added. Tested the water again, it was still below 7. Close <br />the pool until the pH is balanced. The pool requires a reinspection to verify proper pH between 7.2 and 7.8. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid is above 100 ppm. Adjust to below 100 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is some dirt inside the pool. Clean pool today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
