All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Address to facility was faded upon arrival, maintenance supervisor wrote address on safety signs. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: There was a bolted down piece of metal used to hold down a lawn chair that was broken and causing a <br />tripping hazard and a safety concern. Replace metal strap and lawn chair so bolt is not exposed on the deck. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH level was below 7.0 during inspection. Maintenance supervisor added soda ash to pool to increase <br />pH to 7.2 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid concentration is above 100 ppm. The pool operator must maintain a cyanuric acid <br />concentration below 100 ppm. By next pool season the cyanuric acid concentration must be below 100 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is mustard algae that is growing on the bottom of the pool. Clean today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
