This work includes:
• Preparation of the closure area (northern corner of the landfill) for hydroseeding in the last two weeks of
September (Figures 1 and 2). This work required by the Water Board to restore the vegetation over the
closure area.
• Preparation of the side slopes of the retention pond for hydroseeding also in the last two weeks of
September (Figures 2 and 3) .
• Completion of two drainage berms, the soil for which was placed earlier:
o One berm to direct water around the retention pond to erosion -hardened flow paths (Figure 3).
o The other berm to direct water from south of the flare station to the retention pond, thereby
making the Corral Hollow Landfill a "non -discharge" site (Figure 4).
• Final contouring and seeding of the top deck (Figure 2).
• Miscellaneous other improvements, including removing the erosion debris from the CalTrans culvert
discharge area (Figure 2) and re -grading the V -ditch and re -setting the anti -erosion mat for that ditch (Figure
3).
We will continue staging rip -rap on site for this project beginning next week.
Mike Carroll will be on site each morning as the work proceeds. Please stop by, if you wish, to see our progress.
