Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]
From:
Robert McClellon [EH]
Sent:
Monday, March 09, 2009 2:27 PM
To:
'Quality Nut Company'
Cc: Natalia Subbotnikova [EH]; 'David Irey'
Subject: RE: Santa Fe Site
Bruce, We sent you comments on your original plan on 7/21/08. Your original plan was submitted to the EHD on
July 14, 2008. It is titled "Corrective Action Plan". Here is what you need to do in order to proceed.
1. You will need to amend the original Plan to include a site map that show the areas where you plan to
remove the soil from.
2. You also need to indicate that on site work will not be done without EHD oversight.
3. If you encounter waste while removing soil you will need to indicated what the process will be for handling
that.
4. You will need to indicate how you plan to remediating it.
5. You need to tell EHD how you will provide dust control for the soil moving activity.
6. You will need to indicate that you will provide drainage and how that will be accomplished.
You need to provide the amendment to the original plan by 2/23/09 to avoid enforcement action by the EHD.
Robert McClellon, Program Coordinator RENS
Environmental Health Department
600 E. Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202
(209)468-0332
From: Quality Nut Company [mailto:qualitynut@gmail.com]
Sent: Friday, March 06, 2009 3:43 PM
To: Robert McClellon [EH]
Subject: Re: Santa Fe Site
Dear Robert,
I spoke with the owner of the Santa Fe property.
Regarding the clean-up, if this is only a matter of scraping the dirt from the high spot to the low
spot we can do this easily and can start as soon as the weather allows. I remember having a
conversation with you regarding this relatively simple job of remediation, however when the
conversation was not with you, the specifics of the remediation seemed to be much different and
much more involved. However, I could have been misunderstanding, partly due to the fact that I
have never had a written statement of minimum requirements from your department. I believe it is
best for you do give me a written statement of the minimum requirements that I need to meet, with
regards to the moving of dirt and land fill surfaces, and I can promptly do the job. As I mentioned,
because we are a farming company, we have our own tractors and scrapers that I can use, so this
can be done at almost any time. I would only need about 4 to 6 weeks, giving me time to work
3/9/2009
