Dear Mr. Cato, This letter will indicate Health Department approval of drawings submitted for the proposed "Holiday Inn pool/spa" subject to the following conditions: 1. All skimmer equalizer lines must have anti-hair entrapment covers on the wall openings. The pool inlets must be a minimum of 18 inches below the waterline and a minimum of 10 feet apart. The spa and pool must be separated by six feet or more. All drains for the pool and spa shall have anti-hair and anti-vortex entrapment covers over the openings and be three feet apart from cover to cover. The spa shall have a minimum of two depth markers indicating the maximum depth on the sidewalls. The pool and spa inlets shall be equally balanced so that all four inlets are dispersing as close to the same amount of water as possible. The spa shall have two skimmers equally balanced. Both the pool and spa pump sizes should be lowered for better efficiency. The pool should be reduced down to a one horsepower pump and the spa should be reduced to a % horsepower pump (Sta-Rite Max-E-Glas 11TM calculations were used). This site shall have spare cartridges for both filters. Install a one horsepower pump for the spa booster pump instead of a 1.5 horsepower. You must keep this office informed of your construction progress and call for inspections on pregunite, preplaster, and fmal inspections.
